Hey, to my knowledge, it is currently not possible to set a theme preference based on the system theme, such as a theme for light mode and a theme for dark mode. I believe this would be a useful feature because dynamic theme switching is now much more widespread than it was a few years ago.

As far as I know, there is currently no way to achieve this other than running a system daemon that monitors the system state and then sets the theme manually, or simply checking it at startup. Please let me know if there is an easier way.

I’m not sure how complex such a feature would be, but I think it would be cool to differentiate Fish from other shells.
