"Can be a bit pricey"

What do you like best about Authorize.net?

I liked that it is already integrated with many websites and systems that many business owners use on a daily basis. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Authorize.net?

It's pricey! The monthly gateway is $25. This is not attractive to small business owners when there are so many other less expensive or free credit card processing options available. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Authorize.net:

Be sure that the service meets all your requirements before signing up. There is a monthly access fee and in some cases a fee for early termination of the service. Compare other options before signing up. I ended up leaving shortly after signing up for another credit card processor. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Authorize.net solving and how is that benefiting you?

"Authorize.net Highly Recommended Payment Portal"

What do you like best about Authorize.net?

For many years I used Paypal for my Business Credit Card processing. I switched to Authorize.net for several reasons:

1. The payment is automatically sent to your bank account, appearing in just a few days.

2. Authorize.net seems to have robust security protocols which help against chargebacks.

3. The virtual terminal works well and has a customer-friendly layout with no monthly fees. (PayPal charged $30 per month) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Authorize.net?

I would like to figure out how to put a payment link on a html flyer, but for some reason Authorize.net doesn`t have that capabilty for that, Even tech support couldn`t help me.

What do you like best about Authorize.net?

What do you dislike about Authorize.net?

Bad customer service. Terrible systems in place which exasperate their poor customer service. The sign-up process was easy. Getting a transaction limit increase (because of successful growth in sales) was invasive, time-consuming, and they held OUR MONEY while they took time to review. Their user interface looks like it is 15 years old, their reports look the same. Reporting is terrible. My bookkeeper hates using Authorize.net. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Authorize.net solving and how is that benefiting you?

We hit our ACH transaction limit after using them for about a year. They didn't give any alerts, we just received an email saying that it happened, our funds were being frozen, and that I needed to send a ton of paperwork and answer too many questions before they could review it, and make a determination as to whether they would increase my limit. Mind you, they are holding my money and won't release it, and they aren't even guaranteed to grant the increase. So they're just going to keep our money forever?? They ask stupid questions, like "Why do you want to increase your limit?" when the answer was obvious - we've outgrown our current limit over the past year through hard work and success, and YOU'RE HOLDING ONTO OUR MONEY! I have bills to pay. The customer service rep on this case didn't respond to several emails, when I called today, he was off and no one can step in and help. And they're smug, the whole time. Doesn't matter to them that I missed payroll today. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Authorize.net?

Easy and recognizable, they take every major credit card, making it easy for new customers to trust us when just finding out business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We had been using Authorize.net for over a year until we decide to regularize e-check. All of a sudden, with e-check working for months, they decided to no longer work with us, leaving us in a very gray area. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
