What do you dislike about PerformYard Performance Management?

I am profoundly disappointed with PerformYard, particularly in their renewal process, which I found to be misleading and deceitful. The sales team was not transparent about the renewal terms, and as a result, I unknowingly ended up locked into a three-year contract. When I reached out to address this issue, I provided documentation clearly showing how the renewal was misleading, yet upper management refused to entertain any discussion about ending the term early. Their lack of flexibility and unwillingness to even acknowledge my concerns speaks volumes about their approach to customer service.

Beyond the renewal issue, the platform itself is not as user-friendly as advertised and is not well-suited for small businesses that simply want to conduct annual reviews and basic performance plans. The system is unnecessarily complex—something as straightforward as one-on-one counseling requires creating templates, assigning templates, and then starting templates instead of just having a simple option for direct documentation.

If you are a small business looking for a streamlined performance management tool, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. PerformYard’s aggressive renewal tactics, lack of transparency, and cumbersome user experience make it a poor choice. What do you like best about PerformYard Performance Management?

We evaluated PerformYard for our performance management needs and entered into a multi-year agreement. While the platform has features that may work well for some companies, we found that it ultimately wasn’t the right fit for our organization. After limited use and attempts to implement it internally, we decided not to move forward with adoption. It's a great platform, but our business had some unique requirements. I was impressed with the team.

What do you dislike about PerformYard Performance Management?

No, Performyard followed up with me and gained an understanding of why it didn't work in our business (we run on EOS, use the EOS platform Ninety and that aligns to the way we coach and manage the team). They were really responsive and easy to work with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I find most helpful about PerformYard is the level of customizability with the forms and templates to ensure it fits our specific HR needs. Our PerformYard customer success account manager is also incredibly responsive and helpful. Joe always ensures we have the help we need, or directs us to where we can find it. The best part of PerformYard is the people behind the scenes. Everyone we have talked to at PerformYard after purchasing the product has been extremely professional, helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly! What do you like best about PerformYard Performance Management?

I like the layout of the tasks needing to be completed, the timeline at the top is a great indicator of how long I have until my dead line to complete the task. I also like how the task is hyperlinked and takes me straight on to where I need to start my activity. I also appreciate that there is a search box on the top right corner, this feature saves me so much time when I need to really narrow down a certain topic for me to take care of right away.
