AI-Assisted Messages, available in the LinkedIn Recruiter messaging workflow, helps you craft personalized InMail messages faster and connect with candidates more effectively with the help of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
How AI-Assisted Messages work
The AI-Assisted Messages feature uses both the recruiter’s information and the candidate’s LinkedIn profile details to craft personalized outreach messages. The following data fields are used when available:
- Recruiter information: Your name, title, company, company information, and any custom content you provide.
- Recipient information: Job title, company, Open to Work status, signals for being open to hire (#hiring), whether they are a company follower, status as a past applicant, and mutual LinkedIn connections.
- Job information: Associated job title, company, skills, location, workplace type, compensation, and employment type.
If the message is composed in the context of a project containing an active or draft job post, the AI model will extract the job information from the associated job. If there is no job post, we check if this information is available with Hiring Assistant. If further information is required, we use available project details, such as job title or location. If no project information is available, such as when you’re drafting a message outside of a project, AI will infer data based on the recipient’s primary or most recent role on LinkedIn. AI-Assisted Messages includes skills in the message draft if the skills are relevant to the job.

For optimal personalized messages, draft a message while working in a project with an associated active or draft job post. This ensures the most relevant job information is included.

| Custom content | Personalize messages by adding custom content. Incorporate unique details, like company highlights or additional role perks, to make messages stand out. You can insert custom content in all AI-assisted messages on your contract, until you edit or delete it. Custom content and About Company personalization can’t be included at the same time in a message. About Company is available only to Recruiter and Recruiter Professional Services Plus (RPS+) customers with their language set to English.
