- [Instructor] As of filming for this course, in May, 2024, the Python and Excel feature is currently in development mode, and it's not generally available. This means it's not automatically available in Excel even if you have the most recent version of the application. Instead, you need to do a few things to enable it. First, you need to sign up for the Microsoft Beta Channel from the 365 account that you're using Excel with. Second, you need to use a Windows computer and the desktop version of Excel. It currently doesn't work on either Mac or Excel online. If you don't have access to either, I've used it on my own Mac via virtual machine that runs Windows as an alternative approach. Third, you need to enable it directly within your Excel application. Once we've performed the previous steps, Excel will ask us whether we want to preview the functionality within Excel.
