Celebrating 10 Years of Lewd Gaming With Nutaku!

Woah, time goes fast when you are having fun, doesn't it? Today, we want to do a little reflection on an amazing milestone that we just hit! What milestone do you ask? Well, this year we are celebrating Nutaku’s 10th birthday and it’s amazing to see the road that led us here today! 2025 marks a decade of evolving our platform, creating a fun experience for our players, and providing some of the sexiest, kinkiest, and best hentai games on the internet.

From fun silly initiatives, to unique lewd content to creating a memorable brand that is represented by our very own Nutaku-tan. Nutaku has grown from being a small adult gaming platform to having a large library of games and a huge player base all over the world! To commemorate this special time, we want to take a moment and reflect on how our platform has evolved, what we have accomplished over the years and highlight some fun initiatives that helped be who we are today. Without further ado, let’s dive into a bit of our history.

10 Years of Revolutionizing the Hentai Industry! 

Over the past decade, Nutaku has evolved quite a lot from the modest platform that was launched in 2015. Initially, the platform began with only three Japanese games that were translated for English-speaking audiences: LUV BINGO, LUV SLOT and Lord of Valkyrie. We knew this was not enough and we needed more to reach a bigger audience.

As time went by, our library quickly expanded to include a diverse range of genres such as action-adventure, real-time strategy, and visual novels. Then in 2016, we introduced a dedicated DRM-free downloadable games storefront, offering new adult-oriented anime games from renowned developers like KISS, Winged Cloud and Dharker Studio. Our mission was to provide lewd content that mainstream distributors often avoided and over the years we believe that we made good on this promise!

Since then a lot has changed at Nutaku, improving and optimising both our library and player experience to make the website better than ever. Our library now offers more than a thousand titles with both free to play and paid games, that are inclusive and cater to a wide range of interests! Throughout the years, another consistent part of Nutaku has been our mascot, Nutaku-tan! Her design has been somewhat similar since the beginning with her classic cat-ear headphones, blue eyes and pink hair, but through the years we have created many artworks of our beautiful mascot. From adorable cowgirl, to beautiful bride-maid and sexy succubus, she went through a lot of unique designs, but always remained true to her iconic look! Today she also has Katsu, her cat companion whose name & design was decided by our players' votes and is often seen on our promotional material. Nutaku-tan remains a staple and an integral part of what makes Nutaku so unique and we are not sure what we would do without our adorable pink haired waifu!

Overall, after a decade of revolutionizing our brand, we can safely say that we managed to become a special part of hentai culture and we couldn’t be prouder!

Changes and Revamping Our Way of Doing Things

The platform went through many phases, but throughout the years we introduced plenty of new and interesting features for our players!

During those 10 years we made many changes to improve our global accessibility and inclusivity. In November 2018, Nutaku introduced language localization features, allowing players to navigate the site and enjoy gameplay in seven languages, including Spanish, French, German, Polish, Chinese, and Japanese.

We made this move in order to reach our growing international audience which keeps getting bigger and bigger. This really solidified Nutaku's position in the global market which, by our fifth anniversary in January 2020,  led us to have over 45 million registered players and 128 million monthly visits!

As the years went by, the Nutaku website also went through a good number of redesigns with our biggest one happening in 2020. During this time we added numerous new features in order to improve the experience of our players, like adding a Content Preferences option or a new Favorites feature so our players can better access their favorite games! Other improvements were also made to multiple parts of the website, like a new dynamic search bar to help our players find games they wanted to play, adding filtering options to the game catalog to make the experience more streamlined and easier, plus a big rehaul of our homepage to make it look sexier and better reflect the Nutaku brand.

In recent years, we introduced additional features that are now loved by our community like the Daily Reward Calendar which gives Nutaku Gold rewards to our players simply for logging in on the website. Our new Cloud gaming technology was also a huge hit, by finally letting iOS users enjoy lewd games just like Android users would. This has made a huge impact since it gives a way for these players to enjoy some of their hentai games on the go!

These various strategic expansions, innovations, and commitments have enabled Nutaku to evolve into a comprehensive and inclusive hub for adult gamers worldwide. And trust us, we have way more in stock! 

Fun Highlights of the Last 10 Years

I think the best way to put this would be... Boy did we do some crazy stuff in the last 10 years! From amazing collaborations, to unique art shows, one of a kind console machines made to play exclusively hentai games, to launching our own hentai hot sauce, it’s fair to say it’s been wild!

Over the past decade, we have engaged in several “unconventional” and very “creative” initiatives, to say the least, that have set us apart in the gaming industry. One of those happened in June 2018, when we hosted the "Hentai is Art" exhibition in SoHo, New York, which aimed to challenge societal taboos surrounding adult content. During this event we  showcased a diverse range of hentai artwork, including virtual reality experiences, historically inspired pieces, graffiti art, and a unique "toy" showcase, highlighting how artistic and culturally significant Hentai can be at its core.

May 2019 was the month where we introduced the "Hentai Hot Sauce," a product formulated with capsaicin-rich Ghost Peppers and Carolina Reapers, which are known for their intense heat and potential libido-enhancing properties. This initiative was to our surprise extremely popular with an overwhelming response from our players!  Within only the first hour, we sold over 2,500 bottles, even surpassing sales of some popular mainstream hot sauces like Hot Ones' The Last Dab Reduxx. With such success, this led us to do one final restock in July 2019 in order to please our many players looking for a bit more spice in their life.

Throughout the years we also dabbled in other types of unique merchandise. Another memorable one happened in December 2019, when we launched a custom adult gaming chair which was designed for comfort during those very hard gaming sessions, featuring ergonomic support and an adjustable backrest. Nutaku also had numerous interesting collaborators over the years like PewDiePie, Asa Akira, Projekt Melody, and Sweetie Fox, to name only a few!

These are only some of the amazing things that happened over the last 10 years that reflect what Nutaku is all about. We try to innovate and mix gaming & hentai culture with unique, and memorable experiences to try and challenge the taboos around adult gaming & remind you all that hentai is sexy, silly, fun, and most importantly, Hentai Is Art!
