Who owns KitchenAid?
KitchenAid was initially founded in 1919 by The Hobart Manufacturing Company, but it was acquired by Whirlpool in 1986. Whirlpool also owns Indesit and Hotpoint.
Can KitchenAid attachments go in the dishwasher?
It completely depends on the material the attachment is made of. While some are perfectly safe, putting the wrong KitchenAid attachment in the dishwasher will ruin its finish and cause it to shed metal residue into your food.
The following attachments are generally safe to go in the top shelf of a dishwasher:
