Issue:

How to customize the line type in ZWCAD.

Solution:

1. Find the zwcad.lin file in your computer.

The ZWCAD line type is defined by a .lin file, and the .lin file is in the CAD installation directory or the CAD folder under the user directory, it can be opened with Notepad.

2. Two Kinds of Linetype Definitions.

● Each line type starts with mark *, followed with the line type name, and then the line type description.

     The second line defines the line type.

     For example, in the following picture: 

    A, indicating that the line type is justified.

    1.250,-0.25,0.25,-0.25 means starting with a line of 1.25 units in length, followed by a space of 0.25 units in length, then a line of 0.25 units in length, and finally repeated with a space of 0.25 units again. 

● Another definition is that there are words or symbols in the line segment, such as "-AC-AC-AC-". Its structure is similar to the above line type, except that there is a separate representation code when adding words or symbols.

       In this example:

       [ ] is text or symbol style, others are the same as simple line style:

       AC means the text needs to be added to line type;

       STANDARD means the text style;

       S means the magnification ratio;

       R means the rotation angle;

       X indicates that the text is displayed on the X axis;

       Y indicates the displacement on the Y axis.

3. Execute Your Commands.

For the function of making objects into line types in ZWCAD, click the menu Express → Tools → Make Linetype (or directly type MKLTYPE in command line), set the line type name according to the command prompts, and you can create a line type file. 

If the objects contain text, it is necessary to use single-line text for the text, so that the line type can be generated correctly.

ZWCAD license provides lifetime access to the ZWCAD software without monthly or yearly fees. The product activation code authorizes its owners to use a specific version of ZWCAD as long as their PCs and/or operating systems support it.

A network license allows many users on the same TCP/IP network to access a shared pool of ZWCAD licenses. ZWCAD uses the Reprise NLM (Network License Manager), which you install on a central server on your premises. The network license manager controls the distribution of the license pool.
