Pride month is stupid cringe and woke is stupid cringe.

Fortnite actually did rainbow royale this year nobody cares cause it’s performative and another way to make more money because they’re losing more than they’re making
8 hours ago
priDEMONth has to go, no one wants it
True, Epic skipped "Rainbow Royale" for 2025 and nothing for this year.
I suppose the marketing just wasn't working for them.

After looking at the huge list of all the cosmetics made for maybe ~1% of the audience I can see why it just didn't sell, enough to make a lot of employees redundant.

I think you mean happy pride month and that’s not why they go broke it’s because they make stupid decisions like Fortnite paying steal a brainrot map makers 51k and adding random collabs

Happy Corporate Go Boke Month!

Celebrate your favorite AAA studios going broke because they believed empty virtue-signaling would make them more money than making a great game.

Was it Bungie pulling the plug on Destiny 2 development for Marathon to fail slower?
Was it the rest of the Concordian Timeline? (Concord, Highguard, Heart Electric, Last Flag, Hunters Gathering Horizontal Mass, etc.)
Microsoft closing South of Profit Compulsion Games?
Microsoft closing Ninja Theory?
Microsoft closing Double Fine (of Spacebase DF-9 infamy here on Steam)?
Ubisoft having to close more studios?
Forknife losing 1k developers?

Is it the imminent closure of Potty Dog for their biggest contribution to video games being yellow "paint" stain on everything and destroying a beloved adoptive father-daughter relationship? (Then again for TV to show it wasn't just gamers who thought it was stupid and bad and the end of the franchise.)

Which one was your favorite?

Beyond: Two Souls: Oh yes, blatant "2 Spirit" nonsense imagery that aged like fine wine as the VO for Jodie was Ellen and is now Elliot.

Is the game Beyond: Two Souls woke?

Informational works too.
Why do you think that deserves Not Recommended?
The entry for AC8 is only Informational.
You can add Monster Hunter Stories to the "Not Recommended" list as the story is about environmental conservation and restoration with a story that revolves around humans destroying the environment by modifying monsters.
20 Jun @ 7:25am
Purchased Starfield with the intention of refunding that garbage before the 2 hour window.

It's total slop. DEI garbage with bad gun designs, bad ships, bad graphics, just flat bad.
20 Jun @ 7:13am
Open world is a curse since about 2015-2018 every open world developer went lazy. There are rarities like Tainted Grail which capture some old Bethesda design principles but most are just padded crap.

Then there's Starfield, yet another FPS hybrid featuring guns made by people who don't know how guns actually work besides pull trigger and hitscan happens. :Porkums::SpacersRaygun::AngryMoonman:
20 Jun @ 6:01am
Don't forget open world slop too.

I'm honestly sick of open world games.
20 Jun @ 5:56am
It is a bit more discreet than some others I've seen but it seems still a bit too directed. That's probably going to be fixed in Shift Up's departure from Sony trying to make everything into a live-service. More creative freedom and hopefully no yellow paint this time.

You can thank the prevalence of yellow paint on Phony and Potty Dog via Unsharted and The Gassed of Us because that hype was overblown enough it had to die like Joel twice.

The new yellow paint for mOdErN aUdIeNcE games? Chatty protagonists who have to speak out loud and say what is going on until the community makes mods to patch that out.

But yeah, yellow paint was Potty Dog's piss stain on game design.
20 Jun @ 5:36am
I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hate yellow paint.

It looked good after that first planetfall scene honestly.

It looks like a game I'd like to buy on my console when it's cheaper on eBay.
20 Jun @ 5:35am
The gore is there for a reason that becomes apparent later on in the story. South Korea can get a bit grim with horror elements, though those elements DO play very well into the story.

Some of the setting locations are a real treat if you don't mind all the consolitis yellow paint.
20 Jun @ 5:21am
" Then noted exactly which metal ores they were from. Then had to explain smelting." - Quote it word for word here then.

I'm not bothered of Stellar Blade. I was thinking about trying it but I watched Asmongold play it for one hour and I'm turned off by the gore. When I'm done with Pragmata and Monster Hunter Stories I might look at it.
20 Jun @ 5:07am
That you keep needing to know what rare trace by-products are involved and can't find them, nor have your AI find them for you, is the absolute best LOL. If you bothered to know what was being smelted then you'd know the by-products used for the tech, taken from the source ore. I did make mention of G, I, C, and T. Then noted exactly which metal ores they were from. Then had to explain smelting.

This is how I know your climate activism is only performative as otherwise you would have taken the opportunity to Educate Yourself and Do Better instead of just do EV apologetics because a chart says so. You would also wonder how EV would ever really work to scale in India. There is a LOT more that needs to be done for India's infrastructure elsewise before we try to swap out the energy infrastructure 1:1.

Anyways, thoughts on Stellar Blade 2?
20 Jun @ 5:07am
IEF: Copper Shortage 'Will Thwart Global 2050 EV Plans'

So you not only don't have the grids to support it, you can't even make it TO SCALE.
20 Jun @ 5:06am
"You're not avoiding" - Still waiting on those by-products.

Once the panels and cars are setup and operating within our borders then the pipeline through to China ends. Unlike a certain petrol car industry that will be buying oil forever.

Good luck with that problem
20 Jun @ 5:04am
You're not avoiding the extraction limits.

And your tech relies on both China pollution and Muslim oil.
> no more paying the Muslims in the Middle East for oil.
Good luck with that problem.
20 Jun @ 4:55am
"We export our oil, genius." - DIdn't you just criticise me for thinking we're the centre of the world. Hypocrite.

"around by trucks" - Chinese transport is not heavily reliant on truckers unlike the USA. See above.

"figure out "to scale" - Perhaps you could figure out the scale of damage done by every person being a selfish human and actively pushing back against "green anything". Hypocritical point.

"EVs require charging stations" - Power generation is very easy to make mobile. Power generation happens on a local scale and does not require mass imports constantly, daily.

"That is the end for your cultish wishful-thinking" - The copium is real.
20 Jun @ 4:45am
> The grid is the same with the benefits of local production and jobs also no more paying the Muslims in the Middle East for oil.

We export our oil, genius.

China was buying Iranian oil for their infrastructure of shipping and for ocean transport.
You know, to ship all the "Green" around by trucks and then by diesel ship.
Your infrastructure is hosed.
20 Jun @ 4:39am
I see just like "per capita" leftists can't figure out "to scale".
What works in your cute little developed country doesn't work to scale for the rest of the world.

Extraction demands make your dream a complete fantasy and have only made the involved elements skyrocket in price and scarcity, most commonly copper.

Then there's the fact that gas can be put in a can and transported while EVs require charging stations, and electric grids that can support the new load replacing a whole different energy network are going to be clear out of the reach of most developing nations.

They're already browning out developed nations.

So you're not only hosed on sourcing but also for consumer end point.
That is the end for your cultish wishful-thinking. So sorry.
20 Jun @ 12:28am
Energy infrastructure changes over time. Your precious big oil wasn’t build over night it was developed to meet demands. The grid is the same with the benefits of local production and jobs also no more paying the Muslims in the Middle East for oil.
20 Jun @ 12:27am
*very old tesla
20 Jun @ 12:26am
You can’t compare second hand 20 year old cars as I they don’t exist yet.

The closest you can get is comparing a very model Tesla (which are going up in value as a classic for some reason here) or Nissan Leaf which were of no performance comparison to a modern car.

No, my entire intent is go correct you and your constant lies / misunderstanding.

Your last point is irrelevant as Ace Combat 8 isn’t going to bankrupt the company because it has a realistic story. Good try though.
19 Jun @ 3:18pm
Most of the world can't afford a new car and you're playing price comparing to prop up your wishful-thinking based upon ignorance of the world's energy infrastructure and logistics?

Again, this is all still irrelevant to video games the market wants to see, but thanks for again proving why it should be kept out of games. If your intent was to have the opposite effect then you're just another Greta Thunberg, Just Stop Oil, or Captain Planet. Or yet another bankrupt development studio who didn't learn from the previous failures.
19 Jun @ 3:00pm
My bad the Dacia Spring is what I'm referring to.

Essentially the best value for money in entry level cars right now.
19 Jun @ 2:52pm
"can afford low-end ICE" - They are the same price here brand new. For example the Hyundai Inster is the same price as it's comparable gas counterpart.

"SOMEONE has to subsidize" - Someone should have subsidised a new industry. Someone failed to do it and now someone has to catch up.

"Move along." - No.
19 Jun @ 1:01pm
> "Maybe we shouldn't have bothered with Normandy" - Absolutely; Nazi Germany would have done a far better job at ruling the world than whatever the USA is attempting (and failing) at.

> "not why Europe is being invaded and you know it" - Indeed I do. This is a prophecy.

Yeah, this makes it clear that video games don't need anything you're selling. Move along.
19 Jun @ 12:53pm
> "that the entire world can "just buy a new one" meme" - Yes that's typically how new technology works. They don't manufacture "pre-used" vehicles to save you money.

I like how you have to neglect how much of the world can afford new EVs vs how much of the world can afford low-end ICE. It is your folly to assume that the world can afford your EV solution to scale.

You seem to like assuming your tiny European country's solutions can work for the rest of the world. Step outside of your walled garden sometime to see that they cannot without doing far more eco damage in mining, processing, and SOMEONE has to subsidize it all.

I guess you need to get another job to pay for it all. Do it for Africa! :BL3Thumbsup:
19 Jun @ 12:31pm
"not why Europe is being invaded and you know it" - Indeed I do. This is a prophecy.

"can't legally SAY SO without the police arresting you" - Not true.

"that the entire world can "just buy a new one"" - Yes that's typically how new technology works. They don't manufacture "pre-used" vehicles to save you money.

"rest of the world for the next glacial maximum" - It's a rather well known issue that the British Isles are at risk of losing the only warm water stream that comes into the area due to climate change.

"blackpilled on Green to cut off their own prosperity" - Prosperity is being able to run your vehicle for pennies as apposed to pounds. Prosperity is generating your own electricity and being free from the globalist pipeline.

You bring up China a lot like we aren't slowly setting up our own manufacturing and developement. We would already have it if smoothbrains didn't push back so hard 10 years ago. Thanks for that.
19 Jun @ 8:58am
"Unless you want it to warm up and fill your home with 3rd worlders."

Is not why Europe is being invaded and you know it. Unless you can't legally SAY SO without the police arresting you - which IS a distinct possibility there in Europe.

Your entire EV argument assumes that the entire world can "just buy a new one" meme
Nope, junky shtbox is still the AK-47 of the car world, hence Zef and VW.

Anyways, if your doomsday scenario worries you then consider what is going to happen to Europe and the rest of the world for the next glacial maximum, so advancement to establish offworld colonies is a priority for all but those blackpilled on Green to cut off their own prosperity because China pollution levels.

Oh, right. It won't happen fast enough for World End 2031.
19 Jun @ 8:49am
"EV and battery production will also increase the amount of pollution China" - Even ignoring the fact that China's grid is becoming less carbon intensive year on year. Production of Chinese gas cars would create even more pollution than EVs. The entire lifecycle production of carbon from an EV from conception to scrappage is far lower than that of gas vehicles.

Are the by-products in the room with us right now?

Honestly at this point I'd appreciate you just saying that you never mentioned by-products by name and I'll let you get back to moderating your subreddit.
19 Jun @ 8:49am
"Now consider that your tiny little plugin beepbeep" - Normally people like you cry about them being massive and far too fast compared to your ancient gas cars. Usually when they're gapped by some cheap Chinese SUV.

"point to numbers on a graph between ICE vs EV and go "See! BETTER!"" - I can already point at virtually any graph comparing these two and say they are better. I do not need more EV for that.

"And you're doing it so the invaders will stop invading because Climate Change. Wow." - This is projection. I have not said that - you have put the words in my mouth.
19 Jun @ 8:42am
Ok, so that is obvious enough for you. We're getting somewhere.

Now consider that your tiny little plugin beepbeep is irrelevant to the amount of diesel in use, particularly for ocean and road logistics, and local energy production in developing countries.

You want to increase the amount of EVs because you can point to numbers on a graph between ICE vs EV and go "See! BETTER!" but your practical application for logistical anything in this conversation has been absolutely non-existent.

You keep forgetting that increasing EV and battery production will also increase the amount of pollution China makes to encompass that new scale, especially for what is done to the Asian Pacific.

And you're doing it so the invaders will stop invading because Climate Change. Wow.
19 Jun @ 8:35am
"Show me an EV F-22 and I'll consider your nonsense to have any relevance to the real world outside of your walled garden."

They don't exist and they don't need to exist.

Your ♥♥♥♥♥♥ car is not an F-22. It's no marvel of engineering it's a loud and smelly burden.

You still haven't told me the name of those by-products.
19 Jun @ 8:31am
Show me an EV F-22 and I'll consider your nonsense to have any relevance to the real world outside of your walled garden.
19 Jun @ 8:30am
"You didn't pay attention when you copy+pasted for an AI to find information for you." - You haven't spent the time to go back and find where you "literally mentioned them by name". So why would I waste my time correcting you and giving you my citations?
19 Jun @ 8:29am
"I did mention the by-products, and by name." - Enlighten me. I've skimmed through the last few pages and you haven't mentioned any named byprodcuts other than CO2.

"Nor do you care about China's ocean dumping" - Projection. I've already told you my standpoint.

"Useless graphic is useless" - The stats don't agree with you so you have to make an emotional appeal again.

"useless compared to the logistics of the US and most of the rest of the world" - It is. I just mentioned that it HIGHLY FAVOURS GAS CARS through obfuscation of the ENTIRE GAS PRODUCTION LINE. Yet it still shows that EV are a better option than gas.

"real machines" - By this logic non of your electronic warfare, space program, manufacturing or developement is done by "real machines" as it's not fuelled by sludge.

"AOC" - Keep that American filth in your head. I cringe every time she's brought up on Asmongold's channel too.
19 Jun @ 8:23am
I did mention the by-products, and by name. You didn't pay attention when you copy+pasted for an AI to find information for you. Nor do you care about China's ocean dumping, so that is why I'll not bother to explain the extraction process and further chemicals that are dumped out into the ocean.

Useless graphic is useless for the next Climate Change Doomsday in 2031!
Even AOC had something to say about that one, that's how many Thunbergs it rated.
Scary scary!

That graphic is also useless compared to the logistics of the US and most of the rest of the world. Enjoy your developed garden! While you still have it. Do you believe that cutting CO2 will stop the invaders or do you need the real machines to save you (again) someday?
19 Jun @ 8:17am
There's a nice infographic here that shows the CO2 breakdown with heavy bias towards gas vehicles by discounting their fuel production and viewing electricity production through an old fossil fuel grid.

Electric vehicles still produce less in this hypothetical.

https://earth.org/environmental-impact-of-battery-production/

It will be very interesting to see the disparity of the zero CO2 grid vs the mass import of Asian oil.
19 Jun @ 8:11am
Enlighten me. I can go 6 pages back and there is no mention of the byproducts "by name".

"Maybe we shouldn't have bothered with Normandy" - Absolutely; Nazi Germany would have done a far better job at ruling the world than whatever the USA is attempting (and failing) at.
19 Jun @ 8:06am
Wrong again. I had already named the by-products, by name. Since you're now on... rare earth metals? Nope, you're not relevant anymore.

It doesn't matter since you're laughing at the idea of taking Europe back.
Good luck with that. Maybe we shouldn't have bothered with Normandy?
19 Jun @ 8:02am
"Since you're struggling to stay relevant" - I'm not; you are. Your insinuation is referring to rare earth metals. Unless it's specifally a failpoint that forgets that both steel, coal and petroleum have a massive catalogue of byproducts too.

"you should be talking to China about their pollution" - I do and have been doing. We cannot resolve the issue as both your government and mine are stuck in the passed and refusing to fund anything in house unless it's an ugly V8 failcar.

"Sure, some games might insert it as a theme" - They do and it's great. Had you actually played Ace Combat you'd understand that.

"Some of you didn't even last a couple of weeks against the Nazis" - Worthy to note my country never fell to the Nazis.

"Pay your Needs America To Operate share." - Is this some saying from your strange land or a grammatical failure? I really can't tell.
19 Jun @ 7:56am
PS: Pay your Needs America To Operate share. :ss2heart:
19 Jun @ 7:55am
I said by-products, not lithium and cobalt.

Since you're struggling to stay relevant to the whole effect of China's pollution I think it's time that we stop this discussion. Just like Red Redemption, that doesn't go far in the game industry in the West when the ones you should be talking to China about their pollution. Common sense, really, instead of preaching to the choir. Sure, some games might insert it as a theme, but like rainbow capitalism and more it can outstay its welcome. And it has.

What works in your cute little country doesn't work to scale in the US' size and infrastructure.
Enjoy your garden. I do mine.

Speaking of your cute little country - you might want to start defending it and the rest of Europe else none of this matters, especially time for video games. Some of you didn't even last a couple of weeks against the Nazis and some of you still have yet to figure out how badly you've already been conquered.
