3.6.5 Update
-
Hi,
This latest update created many display and other issues to the admin dashboard. Buttons didn’t work, widgets are a mess…..
We had to revert to previous version.
No errors, just a mess of the dashboard.

It is making a mess in all the panels, WC, JETPACK, etc⦠and filling the php_errorlog with errors. How did you go back to the previous version? Thank you
Same. Error is as follows:
Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /public_html/wp-content/plugins/code-snippets/code-snippets.php:1) in /public_html/wp-admin/includes/misc.php on line 1439Can also confirm – There appears to be rogue ‘q’ displayed as well. Appreciate a fix – snippets still appear to work fine but dashboard view is stretched out/broken.
@titowhisky head over to https://wordpress.org/plugins/code-snippets/advanced/ and you can download prior versions from there π
Download and install the previous version and disable automatic update https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/code-snippets.3.6.4.zip

Thanks GDU, I had already managed to download it.
Β There appears to be rogue βqβ displayed as well.Β
Yes, we see the rogue “q” being output too.
Looks like it was accidentally added to the main plugin file:
FYI @bungeshea
This needs an urgent fix! @codesnippets
Completely broke my site and throws random 500 errors. I also see the rogue ‘q’
Same issue as the others, had to revert to 3.6.4.
Error with me too for Version 3.6.5, The turn off/on switch animation does not work, I need to refresh page to see the current state, also I found letter “q” on header. Switched back to 3.6.4.
To revert, go to
https://wordpress.org/plugins/code-snippets/advanced/
get the 3.6.4 and use new plugin and upload it.
Thanks for the link. 3.6.5 made a mess of my 2 Real Estate sites. Now back with 3.6.4
Apologies all, there was an issue when deploying causing the main plugin file to be uploaded with unecessary content.
The issue has been fixed. 3.6.5 should now be safe to update.
Thanks @bungeshea for the fast response π
Hi Code Snippets,
Love your plugin in general and have never had an issue till now.
Basically, I found out today that the Code Snippets plugin was causing the site to break in the admin view of the front end. I just read this thread and changed my version 3.6.5 – back to 3.6.4 and that fixed the issue. Basically, 3.6.5 broke the frontend view of the website when logged into the admin user. Basically, a “q” was being added above the header menu, and content was being pushed down the page creating a large white space. This disruption was ONLY happening via the admin front end view (with the top admin bar). The public (not logged into the site) front-end website view, however, with the 3.6.5 version looked fine/normal – it was just the admin view of the front of the website that got super wonky. So, for now, I went back to version 3.6.4. which fixed it. I look forward to an update on this. Thank you!
