"Effortless Managed Services and Outstanding Support"
What do you like best about Akamai Cloud Computing?

We appreciate being able to use managed services, particularly for MySQL databases, and found the setup process much simpler than configuring a cluster manually. We rely on this as part of our main website stack, and integrating it with our existing systems, which we use daily, was straightforward. Whenever we've needed support for our servers or databases, the team has always been available to assist us promptly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Akamai Cloud Computing?

Up to now, our only complaint has been the need to request limits for IP addresses whenever we want to add them, which can sometimes be a time-consuming process. However, we do recognize that this feature exists to prevent abuse, so we understand the reasoning behind it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Longtime User, Always Satisfied with Akamai CC's Support and Offerings"
What do you like best about Akamai Cloud Computing?

I've been an Akamai CC user since it was still Linode, at the time I used it to deploy Rails applications using capistrano to VPSs, I was a beginner back then and I got a lot of support from Linode representatives whom helped me set up different services, including an email server. I've always been very satisfied with the service, and I've always keept a few VPSs for my personal use or for client work. Since a couple of years I started using Nix for managing my dev environments, after shopping for server providers with support for NixOS, I was very happy to discover a guide for installing NixOS on ACC, the guide was very well written and I was able to follow without a hitch, consequently I have no reason to switch providers. What do you dislike about Akamai Cloud Computing?

The "clean" redesign on all white and content restructuring (guides, resources, pricing) has made me feel a tad disoriented, but I have been able to find my way. I find the dashboard very clear though. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy Cloud Management + Great Support = Success"
What do you like best about Akamai Cloud Computing?

It makes the management of cloud infrastructure very easy. For developers looking to manage some cloud features without having to master them, this is the platform for you. Their portal makes it extremely easy to standup infrastructure in just a few short minutes. Akamai makes it very easy and their support is top shelf. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Akamai Cloud Computing?

My only negative about Akamai, is I would love to see more cloud features exposed through their platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Server Setup and Outstanding Support"
What do you like best about Akamai Cloud Computing?

How quick and easy it was to get a new server spun up. I also did like that their customer service was quick to enable sending emails even though I submitted the support ticket on a Sunday night. Monday morning, when I got up I saw that they had enabled it already. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Akamai Cloud Computing?

I didn't really like that it by default blocks email sending as I had to have transactional emails with my app so I wasn't able to finish setting up that part during the time I had set aside to get my new instance up and running. It caused it to be split over 2 days rather than just doing it in one shot. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Reliable Performance with a Global Reach"
What do you like best about Akamai Cloud Computing?

I really like Akamai Cloud Computing's reliability and global network performance. The platform consistently delivers fast response times and stable uptime, which is crucial for running applications without interruptions. The global infrastructure ensures low latency for users across different regions. I appreciate the user-friendly dashboard and clear documentation, making server management and application deployment straightforward. The flexibility to scale resources as needed is a significant advantage, allowing me to adjust infrastructure based on project demands. The simplicity of deploying and managing virtual servers, along with the intuitive control panel and well-organized documentation, speeds up setup and ongoing management. The platform’s stability and reliability are also impressive, delivering smooth service with minimal downtime. Together, these features make Akamai Cloud Computing a strong and dependable cloud solution for my development and production workloads. The integration with other tools makes it fit well into my existing workflows, and I value its flexibility. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Akamai Cloud Computing?

While my overall experience with Akamai Cloud Computing has been positive, there are a few areas that could be improved. Some advanced features and configurations can feel complex for new users, and the learning curve may be slightly steep at first. More beginner-friendly tutorials or step-by-step guides would be helpful. Additionally, certain settings and options are spread across different sections of the dashboard, which can sometimes take extra time to navigate. Improving dashboard organization or adding more in-context tips could make the experience even smoother. Pricing and usage details could also be explained more clearly in the interface, especially for users who are still learning how resource billing works. With these improvements, Akamai Cloud Computing would be even more accessible and user-friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Versatility and Low Latency with Akamai"
What do you like best about Akamai Cloud Computing?

I really like the versatility of Akamai Cloud Computing. It has a wide variety of products that are quite useful for people who make use of the Cloud Community. I really enjoy using the tools it provides, especially the Linux ones, as they are very useful for my work. Additionally, I can create several virtual servers in a single account, which provides me with a lot of ease for my work when multiple servers are required. These virtual servers are of good quality. I also appreciate that the initial setup is quite simple, taking only about 3 minutes if you already have experience with cloud configurations. It is quite intuitive and works well. What do you dislike about Akamai Cloud Computing?

I have needed a virtual server with the Windows operating system, but Akamai Cloud Computing does not provide that type of service. They provide Linux, Ubuntu, or other operating systems, but on some occasions, I have required Windows. A very good improvement would be to implement Windows for people who need it. "A Powerful Cloud Platform for Low-Latency Applications"
What do you like best about Akamai Cloud Computing?

What I appreciate most about Akamai Cloud Computing is the combination of performance, security, and global reach. It allows teams to deploy applications efficiently while maintaining stability and low latency for users around the world. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Akamai Cloud Computing?

One thing I dislike about Akamai Cloud Computing is that its platform can feel a bit complex at first. The wide range of services and configurations sometimes requires a steeper learning curve compared to other providers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive and Efficient Hosting with Akamai Cloud Computing"
What do you like best about Akamai Cloud Computing?

I use Akamai Cloud Computing to host my websites using their Linode virtual machines. It solves a lot of complex issues I have run into with managing my own hardware. The interface is very useful, quick, and easy to navigate, which is not something you typically get out of the box with your own machines. I enjoy how easy it is to use, and the platform solves a lot of pain points with its UI, bringing me a great experience overall. Their firewall configuration is very nice, especially when combined with Cloudflare to gate access. It's a very useful tool that lets me restrict access to my open ports directly, requiring that public access goes through Cloudflare first, which allows me to set up bot protection. I found the setup to be extremely straightforward, and I've been able to manage my Linodes without any hassle. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Akamai Cloud Computing?

It would be nice to have some cheaper options for hobby projects such as my own. Generally, the price is okay, however, it would be nice to be able to create Linodes with more fine-grained specs, such as being able to specify the storage, RAM, etc., and generate a price based on that. "Fantastic Management Tools and Support at an Affordable Price"
What do you like best about Akamai Cloud Computing?

I love the affordable price and great management tools that Akamai Cloud Computing offers. The management tools are clearly designed by someone who understands how the technology works, providing a broad set of functionalities that allow me to manage my services independently. I appreciate their absolutely fantastic support, where the support staff actually knows what they are doing and responds to problems fast. The intuitive user interfaces and professional support really set them apart from others. The initial setup was super easy and logical, exactly what I need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Akamai Cloud Computing?

I don't honestly know.. I Mean I am like super happy with everything. Hmm.. Aah maybe on thing, support for ANAME or ALIAS DNS records could be a good addition. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Amazing API and Simple Frontend Make Linode a Winner"
What do you like best about Akamai Cloud Computing?

I have used Linode in the past because it offered a great API and a straightforward frontend, which made it easy for me to create and quickly delete test servers. I even used Linode during a Robocup competition, and I found the experience amazing. Integration was simple and seamless, and implementing various tasks with Linode was very easy. I haven't interacted with their customer support, so I can't comment on that aspect. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Akamai Cloud Computing?

On the initial login page, there is a section for signing in, but it only accepts a username. I always try to enter my email, and it never works, which is really frustrating. Please address this issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
