What I like best about IBM Aspera on Cloud is its unmatched file transfer speed and reliability over long distances and high-latency networks. Unlike traditional FTP or HTTP methods, Aspera uses its patented FASP protocol to fully utilize available bandwidth, which drastically reduces transfer times even for extremely large files. Additionally, its intuitive web-based interface and powerful APIs make it easy to integrate into enterprise workflows, while maintaining robust security and granular access control. While IBM Aspera on Cloud excels in performance, there are a few areas that could be improved. The user interface, though functional, can feel a bit outdated and unintuitive for first-time users. It also has a learning curve for administrators when configuring workspaces, access controls, and automation workflows. Pricing can be another concern—especially for smaller teams—as the cost can scale quickly depending on data volume and usage patterns. Lastly, occasional latency in the web UI or delays in file status updates can hinder real-time tracking. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
