Once your organization has the foundations of AI governance in place, the next challenge is scaling it. AI adoption will grow, new tools will appear, regulations will evolve, and teams will find creative ways to use AI across the business. Governance has to mature alongside them and not remain frozen in its early form. Scaling governance starts with assessing what is working and what is not. Review intake forms, assessment templates, approval timelines, and monitoring activities. Identify where teams get stuck, where questions keep repeating, and where confusion still exists. Have a way to measure the policy and processes along the way, including reviewing employee feedback. Next, consider how is AI spreading in the business. As new departments begin using AI, you may need to add new stakeholders to steering committees, create specialized review tracks, or introduce use case specific guidance.
