The Creative Cloud desktop app and quick actions
- [Instructor] If you go to Adobe's website, that's where you'll find Adobe Creative Cloud. In fact, in Creative Cloud, there's over 20 desktop and mobile apps and services available to you. That is the all app plan. That's usually what people do. Note that there is also you can get an individual membership to say Photoshop or Illustrator and there's discounts for students and teachers as well as a teams plan. And occasionally there are promotions that Adobe runs. But we want to go with the all app plan which is what I have set up now. In fact, just go to your creative cloud. I'm going to click right there and I can download any of the apps that I want. But once you download an app what it actually installs as well is this Creative Cloud desktop app which is where I'm going to start. I find it to be your creative hub for everything you need to do. Not sure why it says download there 'cause it is already installed. In fact, here it is. We can see all of our apps that we can install or open all from my desktop. Makes it so easy. But there's more going on here because if you do install Photoshop, check this out click those three dots, the ellipses you can see other versions that you can install as well. So if you ever run into any issues with your system you can install previous versions if you want and that's how it works. And the same goes for all of the apps. So I encourage you to peruse all these different categories. Download, install the apps that you want. There's a files section. These are all your Creative Cloud files available to you on the desktop. Go to the Discover area, stock and Marketplace and even Quick Actions. Now, quick actions really enable you to do these quick edits to images, video, PDFs, things like that very easily. So it doesn't necessarily require, say Photoshop or Premier Pro if you want to edit a video. But what I'm going to do is I'm going to go to find more on Adobe Express. So I'm going to click there. It's going to launch what is called Adobe Express. It's all about quickly creating content, but if I just need to quickly say remove a background I can do that. So that's what I'll select. This is where you can browse to an image on your desktop. If you have access to the assets then feel free to grab one of those. I'm going to grab the end of Route 66 image 'cause I need to remove that background. I really just want the sign. That is it. And there it is, done. It has extracted it. I can customize it some more, download it but you have that capability within Adobe Express for those quick edits. You could also use this screen if you want to. There's really a number of things you can do in Creative Cloud. It really is your creative hub when it comes to designing and creating really whatever you want.
