Town hall features in Microsoft Teams enable a new experience to host and deliver large-scale events to create connections inside and outside of an organization. Town halls will provide a one-to-many format with advanced production capabilities and a structured approach for attendee engagement.
An enterprise subscription to Teams or Microsoft 365 or Office 365 that includes a Teams license can use town hall features. However, to use advanced town hall features and capabilities, the organizer must add a Teams Premium license to an existing enterprise subscription.
With Teams Premium, customers get everything included in the base enterprise license plus up to 20,000 attendees, up to 50 concurrent events across a tenant, customization of email communications, Microsoft eCDN included, third-party eCDN supported, and organizers can select up to 10 languages for live translated captions.
