What do you like best about Chargebee?

I find the bulk import of payments feature very handy, as it allows me to apply payments to invoices easily and flags errors for immediate correction or later adjustments. The home dashboard is also very convenient. I appreciate that I can apply a payment, and if there's excess, it's automatically separated and clearly displayed on the customer's account. The automatic dunning feature saves us a lot of time by avoiding manual case handling. I love Chargebee's user-friendliness, which makes it easy to train new colleagues without hassle. Most processes are straightforward and quick to execute. The platform's contemporary design is impressive, especially in the finance sector, and enhances user experience by making navigation simple and clear, reducing the risk of making mistakes. What do you dislike about Chargebee?

I wish we could record a payment and allocate it to several invoices at once, at least the ones concerning the same customer, on the same menu, which currently we can't; we have to record the payment, and it's then recorded as excess payment and we need to open each invoice to apply that excess amount to each individual invoice. Particularly when you're working mostly B2B, this is very annoying. Being able to link accounts that belong to the same entity would be very handy - simply by having a link to another account on the customer's menu would make the searching part much more efficient, because each time we have to work on two or three accounts of the same company, we then have to search for it - and if we're a team of agents, everyone is doing this each time, multiplying quickly the amount of time wasted on searching when it could be easily linked together. I like how Chargebee helps me check if my customers have paid their monthly or yearly recurring subscription effortlessly. It lets me see at a glance if there are any scheduled downgrades, cancellations, or changes, acting as the single point of truth for the GTM team. What do you dislike about Chargebee?

Chargebee shows a fraudulent tag for customers if their credit card doesn't go through the payment. In most cases, it marks customers as fraudulent for credit card declined cases, which should be fixed. Not all customers are fraudulent because of a credit card decline, which could be due to the limit of funds being allotted for such transactions, which is common these days. What do you like best about Chargebee?

I appreciate Chargebee's straightforward interface, especially considering all the functionality it offers. It’s a huge time saver and ensures everything is accurate. I like that it automatically handles tax calculations so we're accurately invoicing our customers. It's really cool how we can add our own plans and define what those subscriptions entail, catering for various anomalies in the billing process. Their support team is quick and helpful, which is impressive given the number of customers they serve. What do you dislike about Chargebee?

Billing automations and dealing with ad-hoc variations. The response rate of their support team is great and will try as much as possible to fully understand you issue at hand. Fully integrated with our product which is complex enough, but still does the job most of the time. It was pretty easy to pick up as well and they have good help guides. The platform is very user-friendly and straightforward, even if you don’t have prior billing management experience. As a CSM, I use it a lot in my daily work, and it was simple to pick up right from the start. It would be great to have more options for bulk operations, as this would save a lot of time when handling repetitive tasks. The AI chatbot support is still lacking in effectiveness. Despite following all the recommended steps, the chatbot was unable to resolve my issue, which meant I had to submit a support ticket and wait for a response. I think Chargebee could be a little less finicky when it comes to handling spam payments and disputes. It can be challenging to deal with, and receiving alerts a bit faster would improve the experience. What do you dislike about Chargebee?

Not only does the WordPress plugin they provided us not work, they have flat out refused to fix the problem and claimed that we designed it and must fix it ourselves. Customer service is byzantine and inevitably ends with them simply repeating the problem back to us and marking the issue as resolved. A truly maddening company, extremely difficult to work with.
