Migration types and resources
- Now, early in the course, we talked about migration types. Now we're going to talk about migration types and the resources that you're going to be deploying. So we'll look at these types that we've talked about before again, and their relation to resources that we need to deploy in the cloud. The first one then, of course, is the most common, as we've talked about, on-premises to cloud. So we're moving our locally installed on-premises solutions to cloud-installed solutions. The first thing that we have to do is assess an inventory, what we have, and then we can design the cloud target. So you can't really design the target in the cloud until you know what you have. You might think, well, of course, we already know what we have, do you? Do many organizations know what they have, or do many have a bunch of stuff? And they don't really know.
