- [Instructor] In this section, let's take a look at how to enable drilldowns in your dashboard. Drilldowns are going to make your dashboard very interactive. This enables the user to click on a visualization, for instance, click on a table value and then see additional details about that particular object. Splunk provides several drilldown options. First, you can link to a search. Second, you can link the drilldown to a dashboard panel or a report. You can link to a custom URL, so this can be an external website. For instance, when a user clicks on a particular panel, you can take the user to an external website to show further details. Finally, using drilldown, you can also manage token values. Tokens are how Splunk carries values to different parts of the dashboard. We'll learn more about tokens just in a bit. This screenshot shows how the dashboard behavior works with the drilldown.
