- [Instructor] Let's continue our discussion on network and communication security with managing the network security. So our learning goal here will be to describe the strategies for managing network security. We'll talk about network management planes, and we'll also discuss how to secure devices within the network. So when we talk about network management, in terms of managing the network as well as the security, what we are talking about is to basically bringing together everything that we learned about different types of attacks that can happen within the network and strategies within in a cohesive manner so that we can come up with a management strategy that also addresses security. So in order to do that, there are some steps.
