Channel strips

- [Instructor] Channel strips in MainStage are where all virtual instruments are housed and where all audio and MIDI information flows through. All the channels strips are housed on the right-hand side of the Edit page in the Channel Strip area. The best way to think of the Channel Strip area is as a virtual mixing board, and just like a mixing board, each channel strip is ordered according to signal flow, top to bottom. You can create a new channel strip with the plus symbol through the gear menu or through various shortcuts. Let's make one now. When you create a new channel strip, you'll have to choose one of four types, Software Instrument, Audio, Aux, and External MIDI. Also, when you create a channel strip, you'll be able to choose the audio output of the channel strip.
