- [Instructor] What makes MainStage stand out from other DAWS geared towards live performance is it's extremely visual and intuitive. Everything works off a simple, consistent architecture that once you understand it, makes the program easy to navigate. Within every concert, there are three modes; layout, which we can access by CMD+1, edit, which we can access by CMD+2, and perform, which we can access by CMD+3 for the basic view and CMD+4 for full-screen. All of these shortcuts can be accessed through the view window. Perform mode is designed for you to use during your performance. It's a way for you not to get bogged down with all the functions of the program and just focus on what's important.
